Recent Tea and Cheese Loveliness

Just last week my friend and I took a class at Prep Kitchen Essentials... "Cheeses of France"
We had so much fun! The manager of Venissimo cheese was the teacher and we learned about and tasted 7 cheeses. We heard about how they were made, their characteristics, the flavor profiles, what to pair them with etc... it was a glorious 2 hours of sampling and enjoying. Here are a few pictures from the night.

Just yesterday my mom set up a lovely tea for a dear friend's birthday that my sister and I were lucky enough to be invited to. Paris in a Cup is an adorable tea shop in Old Town Orange. We sampled all kinds of delicious little treats with both hot and cold tea. Everything from the bathroom decor to all the plates and glassware were ridiculously cute. We wiled away 2 and a half hours at our lovely table! A few pictures...

And just to give a report since the name of my blog IS butter and scones... they had fabulous scones. We tried two different kinds, both were on the sweeter side. They were served with traditional clotted cream and jam. pretty much all there is to say: YUM.
